Timing is everything. Today the House of Representatives took up and voted on legislation introduced by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) to repeal the Affordable (cough) Care Act, more commonly known as ObamaCare. The bill passed on a mostly party-line 229-195, with Jim Matheson (D-UT) and Mike McIntyre (D-NC) voting in favor of the repeal.
I’m absolutely shocked that Harry Reid (D-NV) will not take up the bill (NOT). No surprise, Obama vowed to repeal it if passed by the Senate.
Bachmann Receives Leadership and Colleague Support
Republicans pressed for a vote on Bachmann’s legislation. During the hearing, Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) said: “We in the majority fundamentally disagree that more government is the answer. Sweeping mandates on individuals and businesses will not improve our healthcare.”
Sworn into office yesterday, Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC) also supported Bachmann’s legislation to repeal ObamaCare. “It turns upside down this American tradition of not having the government force on the consumers the notion of the purchase of a product,” he said, referring to the law’s requirement that people must purchase health insurance.

While some in the mainstream media view this vote as symbolic and a waste of time, as a Minnesota resident, I am proud Michele Bachmann is listening to American taxpayers, small business owners and those experiencing skyrocketing insurance premiums because of this horrendous legislation.
IRS Official in Charge During Targeting Scandal Now Leads IRS’ ObamaCare Division
On the same day the House voted to repeal this devastating legislation, ABC News reported the IRS official in charge during the Tea Party and Conservative group targeting is now Director of the IRS’ ObamaCare office. Won’t we will all sleep better tonight knowing Ms. Ingram has been given the opportunity to target conservatives through the ObamaCare now? I didn’t think so.
Will Ms. Ingram be subpoenaed to testify before the Congressional Committees? Will Ms. Ingram be criminally charged for her role in the IRS targeting scandal? What processes and methods has Ms. Ingram developed, directed, supervised, overseen, implemented and/or ignored that provide the opportunity to target health care decisions for people who disagree with positions held by the current administration? Will Speaker Boehner “man-up” and defund ObamaCare in this fall’s continuing resolution? Will there be accountability within this new division of the IRS? These and many other questions need to be answered. Demand the truth. Demand accountability. We are a Red Nation Rising.
