What follows is the text of the Public Comment I submitted to the IRS during the Comment Period (now closed) of proposed regulations under section 501(c)(4) relating to the measurement of an organization’s primarily activity.
The rule is an attempt to silence good, decent Americans and is an affront to our liberty. Here is the comment submitted for incorporation into the official public record:
February 27, 2014
To Whom It May Concern:
As the Executive Director of Red Nation Rising NFP, I am outraged by this Proposed Rule Change and join so many others comprising the approximately 150,000 comments made in opposition to it. Please be advised, you will NEVER silence me.
This rule is an offense to freedom of speech. It is un-American. It is dangerous to liberty.
I urge its withdrawal, or dismissal, or whatever nomenclature you use to stop this proposal from going forward.
