The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) was held on February 25-28 in National Harbor, Maryland bringing together Conservatives of ALL stripes in unity and solidarity, all with the desire to keep and preserve our great country, although we may come at it from MANY DIFFERENT ANGLES. #CPAC2013 had a blue backdrop, #CPAC2014 gold, and #CPAC2015’s backdrop is RED, RED, RED for a #RedNationRising with the tagline CONSERVATIVE ACTION STARTS HERE!!!
ACU ran a new program this year at CPAC called Activism Boot Camp, an “all-new do-it-yourself campaign and activism training… These fast-paced social-media; video; technology; campaign… talks give you the practical tools needed to turn your ideas into action.”

Just what IS Obama’s position on the young upstart Islamic Caliphate wannabes? In his weekly address of September 8, 2012 (wow, were we in for a rude awakening then!), he boasted, “We took the fight to al Qaeda, decimated their leadership, and put them on a path to defeat.” That path to defeat was so straight and so expertly paved that now we have ISIS (I’ll never call it what Obama does, which legitimizes the destruction of Israel) growing, damn near thriving, as terrorist conquerors. Where did ISIS come from? Sprang out of nowhere? Vox voxsplains, “ISIS used to be al-Qaeda in Iraq.” Oops.

Solution: we could sponsor some job-training programs and plant some great companies (all fruits of free-market capitalism) in the Middle East. If only those chaps had a hard-earned dinar, rial, or pound in their pockets, they would no longer wish to kill the infidel and establish Sharia law over the entire planet. (How sweet would THAT be???)

We Just Want to Fix the Internet, It’s for Your Own Good
Government is already too big. Net neutrality (doesn’t it sound yummy?), written in secret behind closed doors, and approved by Democrat FCC appointees, strictly along party lines. What could go wrong? Remember how the IRS treated Conservative non-profits so fairly, equal to their liberal progressive brethren? They requested before approval, “Please tell us the content of your prayers and other fun facts on this 70-page ‘info’ sheet.” I’m sure this Administration wouldn’t try to shut down Conservative speech because they’ve NEVER done that before. Republican FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai on 332-page Net Neutrality Plan: “President Obama’s plan marks a monumental shift toward government control of the Internet. It gives the FCC the power to micromanage virtually every aspect of how the Internet works.” Sounds like a Socialista plan!

He’s Got Her Number
Ambassador John Bolton rattled off a long list of Hillary Clinton’s failures as Secretary of State in his speech at CPAC. He did the same in his radio appearance that morning with Chris Plante. She herself has trouble answering the question. She is the master of spewing some long and tedious answer that has NOTHING to do with the question. We should become savvy listeners. And for her supporters, no, being First Lady doesn’t count as an accomplishment. And what we should all never forget about her? That, as she stood over the caskets of the brave men who were murdered in Benghazi, she told Charles Woods, “We will make sure that the person who made that film is arrested and prosecuted.” For exercising his First Amendment right to Free Speech. Which had exactly NOTHING to do with what happened in Benghazi.
WHERE Did All These Jeb 16 People COME FROM???
I couldn’t stay in the main hall to hear Jeb Bush speak. I had to go to a breakout session so that I could meet the artist SABO, whom I interviewed a year ago, just after he made the tattooed Cruz poster. I knew that a walkout was planned. Jeb Bush is just NOT Conservative and at the CONSERVATIVE Political Action Conference, it makes sense that he would experience a dearth of fans. As I left the main hall, I was surprised to see a TON of Jeb Bush devotees. They were wearing “Jeb 16” paraphernalia. I had not seen a lot of Jeb supporters at CPAC up to that point, whereas the Rand Paul and Ted Cruz t-shirts, buttons, and stickers were common. Not saying that Jeb definitely bussed them in to make a good showing, but… maybe he did.

We Love Our Renegade
Senator Ted Cruz spoke, as he always does, without a teleprompter, from the heart. He loosened up the crowd with a couple of jokes before getting serious. He has proved his mettle, opposing ANYONE whose bad ideas are damaging our country, whether Republican or Democrat. He asked again and again a question of his fellow legislators, “WHEN have you stood up for it?” You can’t just SAY you are for or against something, you have to DO something, you have to STAND UP!
Founders Actually DID Know Some Things
Let’s look at our founding documents (emphasis mine). “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED.” ~Declaration of Independence. “We the PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” ~US Constitution. Notice it does NOT say “We the rulers.”
Obama boasted about having a pen and a phone. Mark Levin has millions of daily listeners. At his Saturday morning speech, Levin called out point by point, with his characteristic passion, myriad infractions against the people by “Mr. Obama.” Amassing power in the Executive branch is something a (gasp!) dictator might do. John Locke, in his book Two Treatises of Government, defines tyranny as “the exercise of power beyond right, which nobody can have a right to; and this is making use of the power any one has in his hands, not for the good of those who are under it, but for his own private, separate advantage.”
It Took Just a Few to Make a Big Change
“During the American Revolution, the active forces in the field against the King’s tyranny never amounted to more than 3% of the colonists.” They fought for our liberty, for our right to govern ourselves, to get out from under the thumb of the British monarchy. Each of you who stands up to the dismantling of our Constitution, and our freedom along with it, will inspire a few others to do the same.

“Climate Change” Fear Used as Bullying Tactic
The name for global warming, which was called global cooling in the 70’s, is now climate change. Now there is a concept I can get on board with. The climate has been changing since the earth has been in existence. Oh, wait… Well, in a classic example of “follow the money” and “rulers and peasants” let’s listen to what Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), has to say. “I am very convinced that society as a whole, global society, is moving to a point where we are going to need more and more global governance muscle than we have had in the past.” What is she talking about? A worldwide police force? We are a sovereign nation. How can we preserve that while allowing the UN or some other “globally-concocted” organization to impose THEIR will on US?
